Den Sociale Kapitalfond Management

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Management provides consultancy services for social entrepreneurship, investment and related activities, as the Board finds appropriate.

The company was established by Lars Jannick Johansen in 2011 as a management company for the corporate fund, Den Sociale Kapitalfond, which was established by Trygfonden. The corporate fund is an investment entity, and the board of the corporate fund approves the investments and social innovation projects funded and financed by the fund.

This organisation structure, with a corporate fund and a management company, is a socio-economic equivalent to traditional private equity funds, with a management company implementing activities, and a fund making resources available.

The organisation structure makes it possible for the company to establish cooperation with other social investors, funds and partners to establish development activities and funds and thereby support a common mission to develop, test and scale new solutions that unite social and commercial success, and generate new opportunities for marginalised and vulnerable people.

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Management ApS is a not-for-profit organisation. After appropriate consolidation, any surplus is applied to support the objects of the company.

The management company is run as a socio-economic partnership: Lars Jannick Johansen owns 73.5%, of which the equivalent of 18.75% is reserved for future partners, Claus Bjørn Billehøj owns 10%, Birgitte Frost Mathiesen owns 6.25% and 10% is owned by the CEO and company employees.
