To investors

Do you want to invest? Den Sociale Kapitalfond offers investors the possibility to invest in social impact that ensures you a social and financial return.

Social impact investments offer various investors the opportunity to invest both with an eye for the social and financial returns. All investments are aimed at solving a social challenge. At the same time, the ambition is to create a financial return of 5-7% annually.

The ambition is a financial return of 5-7% annually.

If you, as an investor, are not interested in getting a financial return, there are still opportunities to invest in social impact, as your return will simply be reinvested in the effort rather than being repaid.

New fund established

With a goal of improving the quality of life for 3,000 Danes, Den Sociale Kapitalfond has created the fund Den Sociale Kapitalfond EFFEKT.

With a current size of almost DKK 100 million, the fund is Scandinavia's first private fund for social impact investments.

With the investors Vækstfonden, Arbejdernes Landsbank, PKA, SI Safe, Lind Foundation and Det Frederiksbergske Ejendoms-Societet Aktieselskaber in the back, the fund is now in full swing making the first investments.

With the new fund, the goal of Den Sociale Kapitalfond is to enter into agreements with 15-25 municipalities to invest in concrete initiatives.

The investors behind the fund are:
  • PKA
  • Vækstfonden
  • Arbejdernes Landsbank
  • Lind Foundation
  • Det Frederiksbergske Ejendoms-Societet Aktieselskab
  • SI Safe
Read what the investors say about the cooperation:

PKA: Concrete initiatives are crucial

For PKA, it is crucial that the money is put into very concrete efforts, where the improvement the individual citizen achieves is clearly measurable.

"Our members work every day to show care for the Danes in the health sector and in the social area. Thus, it makes a lot of sense for us to go into new investment areas, where we can both create a good return for the members while raising welfare and improving the quality of life for a large amount of Danes. The investment and cooperation with Den Sociale Kapitalfond give us important experiences so that we can become even better at finding and developing good investment opportunities that support the social area".

Jon Johnsen, CEO.

Vækstfonden: Want to create jobs in all of Denmark

"At Vækstfonden, we want to help launch new initiatives - and this is a really interesting model for developing the future labour market together. Vækstfonden’s efforts are about helping to create value and jobs throughout all over the country. With the investment in Den Sociale Kapitalfond Effekt, we can help create value for each citizen who is helped into work. At the same time, it provides value for society and leads to savings in the municipality, all of which can contribute to growth in the local area."

Rolf Kjærgaard, CEO.

Arbejdernes Landsbank: Part of the sustainability strategy

"Increasing the volume of sustainable investments in the bank is a key part of our sustainability strategy, which fundametally is about incorporating ESG into the investment processes and decisions. In these years, for good reasons, there is a lot of focus on the E (environment and climate) to promote the green transition. For us as a bank - which is based on more than 100 years of social responsibility - it is natural to also invest in the S (social conditions) in order to contribute to solving some key challenges in society and help people to get a better life".

Gert R. Jonassen, Managing Director.

Lind Foundation: Want to create long-term change

"With the investment in Den Sociale Kapitalfond Effekt, we can, together with other actors, scale the forces, which to a greater extent can create long-term changes based on a systematic approach to initiatives. In order to make the changes, it is crucial that the impact is measurable, examined and evaluated so that what works can be implemented – for the good of the citizens and society."

Henrik Lind, Chairman of the Board.

The Frederiksberg Property Society Limited Company: The fund is the market for social investments

"We are very pleased about the collaboration with Den Sociale Kapitalfond EFFEKT. There is a close dialogue regarding the fund's purpose, as well as how the fund contributes to maturing the Danish market for social impact investments, so that supply can develop in line with demand. Specifically, we have great expectations for the recently established collaboration between Frederiksberg Municipality, Marselisborg and the fund to develop a concept for long-term employment for a group of unemployed citizens. In addition, there are a number of interesting projects emerging, which we look forward to following the further development of."

Christoffer Eklund, Chairman of the Board.
